This article talks about essential skills kids should learn before they turn 18. These skills are essential because they will help you get a job in the future, be able to talk to people, and be able to take care of yourself on your on. I think these are realitic skills because they all have good reasons to back them up, and all the succesful people I know have learned these skills. I would say that I have learned most of them, but still need to learn my way around town and how to manage my money. I can tell that I don't know these skills now because, I don't know my way around some places in Iowa City, and I impulse buy a lot. If I see something I like, even if I don't really need it, I usually buy it. I need to learn how to manage my own money better and only get things that I need or really want.
If I could live inside any video game, it would be the Sims. There's a few reasons for this decision, the first being that I played the Sims 3 a lot when I was younger with my siblings. We all found humor in the body size adjustment tool. You could turn a super skinny guy into a sumo wrestler with the click of a button. The Sims 3 was actually the reason my dad decided to grow a goatee. My sister was making our family and decided to slap facial hair on him and we all loved it, so he decided to bring it into reality. The second reason is that it's normal human life. It would be easy to adjust compared to if I wanted to live in the world of pac-man, where there's only yellow mouths and ghosts, I wouldn't really fit in. The third and final reason is that life is so much easier! You can literaly go from a high five to getting married an hour later. You get things done more efficientaly because an hour in the sims is like 30 seconds in our time. Wait, actually that would kind of be a bad thing, because we die quicker. Besides that though, I think the Sims would be a great game to live in.
